Let's Get Started

Who we are?
We are Social Good Consulting Partners and we designed a Get Started Program that specializes on Impact Enterprise and Grant Writing. We provide service tools to support the growth of companies being used as a force for good and help them align with UN Sustainable Development Goals. We create a strategic roadmap and help entities navigate their way through building partnerships, expanding reach and achieving impact goals. We believe that EVERY GREAT START BEGINS WITH A STARTER.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
This Agenda is a plan of action for people, planet and prosperity. It also seeks to strengthen universal peace in larger freedom. We recognize that eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions, including extreme poverty, is the greatest global challenge and an indispensable requirement for sustainable development. The Goals and targets will stimulate action over the next fifteen years in areas of critical importance for humanity and the planet:

We are determined to end poverty and hunger, in all their forms and dimensions, and to ensure that all human beings can fulfil their potential in dignity and equality and in a healthy environment.

We are determined to protect the planet from degradation, including through sustainable consumption and production, sustainably managing its natural resources and taking urgent action on climate change, so that it can support the needs of the present and future generations.

We are determined to ensure that all human beings can enjoy prosperous and fulfilling lives and that economic, social and technological progress occurs in harmony with nature.

We are determined to foster peaceful, just and inclusive societies which are free from fear and violence. There can be no sustainable development without peace and no peace without sustainable development.

We are determined to mobilize the means required to implement this Agenda through a revitalized Global Partnership for Sustainable Development, based on a spirit of strengthened global solidarity, focused in particular on the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable and with the participation of all countries, all stakeholders and all people.

The interlinkages and integrated nature of the Sustainable Development Goals are of crucial importance in ensuring that the purpose of the new Agenda is realized. If we realize our ambitions across the full extent of the Agenda, the lives of all will be profoundly improved and our world will be transformed for the better.

Why Get Started On Building Impact Enterprise?

We all want to change the world for the better. We aim to make profit but we reinvest part of it to various sectors doing social good. Enterprises creating positive impact are growing in numbers - they are in our communities, in the open marketplace, in small or big industries.

We support IMPACT-led ENTERPRISES dig deeper and optimise their business models to achieve positive societal goals for people, planet and places and become sustainable. While these goals are often seen as trade-offs, there are ways in working around creating blended value combining multiple models within oeprations to increase overall positive impact.

Yunus Center describes blended business models as:

Profit donation – these business models may not create any direct impact themselves but donate / reinvest their profits to resource impact-orientated activities.

Cross subsidy (one-for-one) – customers buy a product or service and an equivalent product is donated to someone in need.

Circular economy – enterprise creates new value by recycling, repurposing or regenerating materials and / or natural resources.

The good asset – productive assets managed to generate public goods and also generate revenues that can be reinvested into impact projects and / or community development.

Direct impact – delivering innovative products or services that address market failures and create positive impact, often with the potential to scale.

Inclusive employment – enterprises that train and/or employ people who experience barriers to work for a variety of reasons.

Fair share – economic benefits (and decision-making) are distributed equitably within an enterprise and/or supply chain.

Payments for outcomes – the enterprise is able to attribute and verify the value of the outcomes they deliver and receive payments (usually from a government or philanthropic counterparty) based on their performance.

Enabling finance – facilitating access to finance and resources for other impact-driven organisations and initiatives.

Asset / wealth transfer – generating and transferring assets and/or wealth to disadvantaged groups or communities.
So whether you are launching or working on an existing impact-led enterprise, we are here help you optimise your business model, assess your resources, design a people centered organization and expand your network.

Why Get Started On Grants?
There are grant opportunities for everyone. Grants are good for nurturing innovation, adapting change, empowering people, supporting community or driving sustainability. Start-up companies with promising community impact need capital to get established and expand to new territories. Agricultural companies and medical centers always need funding for new equipment. Education and environmental initiatives need resources for research and technology upgrades. Individuals, groups and even local agencies can apply for grant opportunities.

If you have a compelling, ingenious idea and inclusive approach with potential for extensive engagement to effectively and creatively address social issues in the long-term, we are here to help you Get Started.

How it works:
The grant cycle is the series of activities that brings each grant phase from beginning to end. It starts with an idea and concept note for a grant, progresses to the award and management of the grant, and concludes with an audit and evaluation of impact of the grant. While the phases in the grant cycle are generally the same, the grant application process can vary significantly depending on the size of the grant and the size of the organization. Some organizations may have a relatively simple application and review stage but other organizations have several reviewers, spanning different specialties, who review grant applications in different stages. Whether your grant application process is simple or complex it helps to plan, create structure and uniformity from beginning to end.
