Hackbang Plipinas
Caraga Creatives husband and wife tandem (Jimbo and Shayla Sanchez) has been leading ecotours and local town events in Butuan for the past years until the pandemic. As the coronavirus outbreak limited all in-person interaction, the tandem made a decision to pivot to online events services to continue operations and partnered with a group to form Hackbang Pilipinas. As a social enterprise, Hackbang Pilipinas hosted a Hackathon, a volunteer-based virtual platform that enables connections between the thinkers, the doers, the movers, the shakers to create solutions to Covid challenges experienced by Mindanaoans.
